The hotel was great! Friendly staff, perfect location, easy bike rental, excellent food, and good atmosphere.

It is a rather large hotel (approximately 100 rooms) with little atmosphere. The rooms are basic. The restaurant menu did not seem appealing.

The Hotel De Walvisvaarder in Lies offers great value for money. With its central location, it's easy to explore the beautiful island of Terschelling. The bus stop right outside the hotel provides convenient access to the ferry dock at West-Terschelling, and the beach and other villages are just a short ride away. The staff are friendly and always available to assist with any requests. The rooms are comfortable and well-appointed, with cute inbuilt beds and some even come with a jacuzzi. The breakfast buffet offers a good variety of options to start your day.

No aspect could be improved; everything was perfect.

This hotel is a hidden gem on a beautiful island. The attention to detail is evident from the moment you arrive. The staff are incredibly helpful and go above and beyond to ensure your stay is enjoyable. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, with a cute inbuilt bed for added charm. The breakfast spread is delicious with a good selection to choose from.

We loved the hotel's location in the center of the island , made it easy to explore other villages. The breakfast had a good variety of food to choose from and the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel was clean and had excellent facilities including bicycles for rent and a nearby food store.

Great breakfast buffet that catered to a variety of preferences. Loved the location, surrounded by peaceful greenery and picturesque animals nearby. The staff were extremely affable and assisted with bike rentals, making exploring the area very easy.

My room was a bit cramped, especially for a business trip. The WiFi signal wasn't always strong or reliable, which was frustrating when trying to get work done.

So, we went to Terschelling for a romantic escape and had a mixed experience. the island was very beautiful, and we enjoyed exploring it by bike. the staff at the hotel was generally friendly and helped us rent bikes and gave us some good recommendations for places to visit. We also enjoyed the cozy atmosphere in the room, especially the comfortable bed and the soft lighting.

First of all, the location of the hotel was not ideal - we had to bike quite a long way to get anywhere interesting.

This hotel is perfectly located in the center of the island, a short 25-minute ride to the ferry that takes you to the mainland. It's a touristic island with a relaxing atmosphere near the beach. the room was very cozy with a lovely bathroom. the hotel offers bike rental and a free sauna. the staff was friendly and helpful and the breakfast was very satisfying. There are plenty of facilities to enjoy such as a games room and DVD rental.

The dining options were limited and the food had an out of the packet feel to it.
